JOB DESCRIPTION
We have an opening for a Database Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Dulles, VA.

RESPONSBILITIES
- Work with software and determine ways to organize and store data.
- Identify user requirements, set up computer databases, and test and coordinate modifications to the computer database systems.
- Ensure the performance of the system, understand the platform on which the database runs, and add new users to the system.
- Plan and coordinate security measures -data integrity, backup systems, and database security.
- Provide technical expertise in the use of Database Management System (DBMS).
- Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated user requirements.
- Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications.
- Manage the development of database projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Cloud Technologies - Amazon RDS, IAM, EC2, S3, EBS, Cloud Formation, KMS, AMI creation.
- DevOps - Terraform, Puppet and Packer, Jenkins, ELK stack (ElasticSearch, logstash and Kibana).
- Database Technologies - Database Vault, Data Guard, Real Application Clusters, Datapump, Enterprise Manager, and Grid Control, Oracle Enterprise Manager, RMAN Tuning, Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure, MySQL , MySQL Galera Cluster.
- Languages - C, JAVA, Python, Perl, PL/SQL, SQL Bash scripting
